9/11/01
I was sitting in a bar on the island of Romblon in the Philippines. I drank lots of San Miguel that night watching everything happen on the shitty little tv that was set up. Was suppose to go diving the next morning but we cancelled that and just sat in the hotel lobby and watched the international CNN feed. Was very strange being one of only a few americans on the whole island at the time. It did mean free drinks at the bar every night. Have not been back to Romblon since then. maybe this year I will go again so I can fully take in the island.

i was getting ready for school when i saw it live on tv :S i saw the second plane crash live, they were interviewing some lady (west coast)

ReplyDeleteI live in NY. I still remember that day, the whole sky was filled with dark smoke. A lot of the channels weren't even there, and those that were only aired the towers falling down. I was probably only a 50-100 miles away from where it happened.

I was just waking up, about to go my 4th day of the 7th grade. At first I thought it was a movie or something, the enormity of the event didn't really hit me until days later.
